My woodland theme on the front porch turned into a slapdash vintage theme out by the chicken house. We had a grand time despite the lopsided tablecloth & lights that lay forgotten in the planter behind the table, twinkling away. I do believe that I had too many irons in the fire on Friday.

The girls kept us in stitches the entire time. Saige and her funny expressions a hilarious contrast to Hazel’s somber ones. The girls are opposites in every way. I will need to do a whole other post on this.

Let’s start with the party dresses. Hazel wore the Ciel Bleu Gown and Saige wore the Sonnet Gown. Both are Violet’s hand me downs. Violet wore the Ciel Bleu Gown at her first birthday party and she trashed it. Lest ye think these gowns are high maintenance, think again. We wear ours for party & play, throw them in the washer and pass them down to siblings & cousins.

As usual, my plans were grander than the actual event. I had twigs and lights that lay abandoned. The girls didn’t seem to mind a bit. We did hang our vintage lace curtains and sweet eco-friendly bird garland that I purchased here. Thank you, Renée, for going the extra mile to get them to us in time!
I kept it simple with the food, white heart lollipops and old fashioned gumballs bought in bulk at Candy Warehouse. I have enough left over for 10 more parties. The cupcakes simply a box mix with whipped cream frosting and pearl sprinkles. As you can see they were a last minute act of desperation.

My gift to the girls, monogrammed silver sippy cups purchased here. A perfect keepsake and they looked elegant on the table.

I have many more photos to share in another post. It was a crazy happy day and this here seems like only yesterday. Happy birthday sweet babies, may God bless you with many many more.
