Our favorite part of the day. Lighting the Advent candles and reading Jotham’s Journey by candlelight. After the story the kids all take their bedside candles to light their way up the stairs to bed. A sweet and magical (and somewhat dangerous) moment.
PS- We haven’t got around to the traditional wreath and candles yet and the kids insist on lighting every candle in the house:)

We read Jotham’s Journey last year and loved it! I’m a bit late pulling it out this year, but you reminded me. 🙂 What a fun tradition…the candle thing is scary, though!
